Imagine a typical day in the Northwest. Cool and rainy, but not too raining that you need an umbrella. This time of year every where you look there is a bit of spring trying to make an appearance. Well, the grapes are growing well in Washington because the wine is fantastic. Of course, when you go wine tasting for the entire day it is not all about the wine. It is about the people you meet and the wineries you stop in at. Bainbridge Island has a wide variety of whatever type of wine or winery you wish to enjoy. At the Bainbridge Islands Vineyards and Winery you can purchase antiques and get a very interesting history lesson on the farm and the area around it. You can head over to Perennial Vintners and learn about the artists that paints their amazing labels and get a taste of their up and coming wine grown on the Island. You can head over to the Rolling Bay Winery, where you will get the warmest welcome and friendliest atmosphere on the island. Eagle Harbor Wine Company has two locations to check out their wonderful wines. We chose the one where their wine is stored and we got a wonderful lesson and enjoyable tastes. Finished out the day at Eleven Winery, where it is always a joy to run into Matt the owner and wine maker.  We are looking forward to heading back next month April 10-11th so we can check out the wineries we missed. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed each individual winery we visited.  Of course, we came home with a few bottles to share with our families. Hope to see you on the wine tours.
